Dear RegCM Users!

We have a multiprocessor SUN E10000 supercomputer at the
University with MPICH installed. We have tried to compile RegCM
v3 on the SUN machine. We have followed your instructions that we
found at the RegCM mailing list archive. Preprocessing works well
on the SUN machine but we have problems compiling the
multiprocessor Fortran code. MAKECODE works well (PARALLEL_CODE),
and even compilation of the individual Fortran source files work
well, but there is a problem during linking the object files and
MPICH. We have the following error message:

ld: fatal: symbol `mpi_' has differing sizes:
 (file bdyin.o value=0xc; file
 /usr/local/lib/libmpichf90.a(mpi.o) value=0x4);
tentative symbol cannot override defined symbol of
 smaller size
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to regcm

So it seems that there is some problem with THE bdyin.f module.
Do you have any idea what might cause the problem? We would
appreciate if you could send us your advice considering this issue.
 Many thanks in advance,

 Csaba
