Hi all,

Yes, Lin, Robertson and Hill (Mon. Wea. Rev., 2005, p.3276) have used
the NCEP reanalysis data to initialize the RegCM3 and ran from 1200 UTC
20 July to 0600 UTC 3 August 2000 to study the African easterly wave
which triggered the Hurricane Alberto (2000).

FVGCM has been used to forecast tropical cyclone tracks and intensities
by Bo-Wen Shen at Goddard and his co-authors. Their results have been
published in GRL in recent years (2004-06).
