Hi Imran,
Postproc Error:
This error is due to the mistake in Makefile_IFC8. You may change the line:
---
OBJ = postproc.o ../Commons/env/netcdf.o
---
to
---
OBJ = postproc.o netcdf.o
---
Also, add
'make clean' before 'make' in postproc.x.
Resolution Jump:
If you have read somehwere that resolution jump should be preferably between 3-
6 then remember that its not written in bible. There is no authentic and
accepted way that could tell you what is the limit. However, in recent past,
the famous big brother experiment, which was the most cleanest in this regard,
has shown that a jump of 10 is accpetable. Remember that PRECIS RCM works at
50 and 25 km in default-so they are already running it at a jump of 10.
Anyway, there is no rule. Also, there is not much difference in 20 n 25 so
don't worry about that if you see results still accpetable with such
resolution jump.
I would suggest that 'jump of 10' is refereed so you may stick to that, if you
are interested in high resolution direct runs.
