INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF TRIESTE: New Sports Facilities on Campus

Dear Sirs,

We write to promote the new sports facilities on campus of the 
International School of Trieste (www.istrieste.org 
<http://www.istrieste.org/>).

Notwithstanding the difficulties faced over the past years, thanks to 
the investments undertaken and the support of the Fondazione CrTrieste, 
we have been able to create an environment suitable both for young 
children and adults.

Our campus offers the possibility to practice various sports, such as 
basketball, 5-a-side soccer and volleyball. Thanks to its modern 
structures and regulation-sized courts, safety and fun are guaranteed.

Below you’ll find further information about the available facilities.

- Gym with indoor basketball court, volleyball court and lines for 
soccer (€100 per hour);

Modern wooden structure with double PVC layered dome. The internal 
flooring is coloured and finished with an elastic coating. The gym is 
equipped as follows:

- regulation basketball hoops, adjustable in height;

- four wall-mounted basketball hoops positioned on the long sides of the 
court and adjustable in height;

- volleyball court at regulation size for A1 category competitions 
certified for international play.


- Five-a-side Outdoor Soccer Pitch with lighting (€75 per hour)

40x20m synthetic grass soccer pitch, ideal for training and matches for 
all ages. Artificial lighting is provided for evening matches.


- Outdoor Volleyball Court (€25 per hour)

Regulation-sized volleyball court, ideal for training and matches for 
all ages.


- Outdoor mini-Basketball Court (€25 per hour)

Mini-basketball court with low hoops ideal to introduce younger players 
to the sport.


ABOUT US

The International School of Trieste is a non-profit English language 
international school for students of many different backgrounds and all 
nationalities. It was founded in 1964 upon the initiative of the 
International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the Italian 
American Association. In 2005 the Trieste Area Science Park joined as an 
associate.

The International School of Trieste is the only international school in 
Italy to issue diplomas fully and legally recognized by Italian law 
(art. 10, comma 3, della Legge 29 gennaio 1986, n. 26), specifically 
designed for the school.

The IST diploma allows students to attend a public or private school at 
any point. At the end of High School, the diploma allows students to 
apply to any Italian or foreign university and take any competitive 
state exam in Italy.
