[Space-Apps Challenge]

Dear All,

On 20-21 October, ICTP is hosting the *Nasa Space Apps Challenge!*
We hope you will be interested in participating in the event and/or will 
help us find participants, partners and sponsors for the hackathon, 
taking place in Trieste for the very first time!

Nasa Space Apps Challenge is a hackathon happening simultaneously in 
over 200 cities all over the world, organized with the goal to help 
collaboratively develop innovative solutions for global problems by 
producing open-source results to challenges that are relevant to both 
life on Earth and in space.

Don't let the name fool you... it's not just about apps! Tackle a 
challenge using robotics, data visualization, hardware, design and many 
other specialties! Inspire each other while you learn and create using 
stories, code, design and, most of all, YOUR ideas. Show us your 
problem-solving skills and share your talents with the world!

If you haven't already, join us to share ideas and engage with open data 
to address real-world problems, on Earth and in space.

Participation is completely free and open to all enthusiasts older than 
18, no matter their background or nationality. The event starts 
Saturday, 20 October at 8:30 AM and ends Sunday 21 at 6:00 PM.
The hackathon will be held at the ICTP "Adriatico" Guesthouse. The 
maximum number of participants is set to 60, and there are already 30 
registrations, so hurry up and don't lose your chance!
