The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences(ICTS-TIFR), Bangalore
calls for applications for the ICTS discussion meeting "

Angstroms to Light Years"
<https://www.icts.res.in/discussion-meeting/taly2018>scheduled to be held
from January 20-25, 2018.


The talks will cover the spectrum from homogeneous isotropic turbulence to
situations where shear breaks isotropy to turbulent convection and quantum
turbulence. There will be an Infosys - ICTS Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar
lecture series delivered by *Prof. Katepalli Sreenivasan* and a special
session to celebrate his scientific career.


In addition to the vibrant in-house research program, participants will
also have opportunity to interact with leading scientists during program as
the purpose of this discussion meeting is to bring together researchers who
have made key contributions in various areas of turbulence to describe
their latest research results and discuss open problems.

Eligibility:


Applications are invited from young researchers (researchers at the PhD and
post-doctoral level, and students from relevant engineering departments are
encouraged to apply).
