*INVITATION TO THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE LATIN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL 
AT ICTP, **
**ON SATURDAY 18 OCTOBER AT 19:00. *

The 29th edition of the Latin American Film Festival will be inaugurated 
on Saturday 18 October *in Budinich Lecture Hall *at 19:00 with the 
following programme:

19:00: Presentation of the Festival by organizers and welcome speeches 
by authorities.

19:30: Salvador Allende Award Ceremony. This year, the award will be 
given by the Ambassador of Chile in Italy, H.E Dr. Fernando Ayala, in 
memoriam to Tomaso de Vergottini, a Chilean diplomat originally from the 
city of Parenzo, in Croatia, who saved many lives during the military 
repression in Chile. His wife, Anna Sofia de Vergottini will be present 
and will receive the award.

20:00: Film "Ardiente Paciencia" by Antonio Skarmeta, the Chilean 
version of the Italian film "Il Postino". The film is in Spanish with 
Italian subtitles.

21:30: Buffet dinner at the Leonardo Building Cafeteria for all 
participants.
