W/E MOSAICS COURSE
14-15-16 Octobre 2013 9.00-13.00 and 14.30-18.30
Class size limited to 8 people. We will use hammer and hardie.
In this workshop we will make a mosaic 30x30 cm by composing tesserae 
cut by hand with the hammer. With the different shapes and sizes of the 
pieces you can invent your own texture or just reproduces one (see the 
fotographs below).
€ 220 – includes the use of tools and the substrate; in my studio there 
are a varied selection of smalti, marble, pebbles, wood, brick...; visit 
to the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli trip to the river Tagliamento

CORSO MOSAICO W/E
14-15-16 ottobre 9.00-13.00 e 14.30-18.30
La classe e' limitata a 8 persone. Useremo la martellina e tagliolo.
Durante questo laboratorio creeremo un mosaico 30x 30 cm facendo una 
composizione con tessere tagliate a mano una per una con la martellina. 
  Attraverso le forme e le grandezze diverse dei pezzi potrete inventare 
la vostra finitura/consistenza o semplicemente riprodurre una (vedere foto).
€ 220 - include l'uso degli attrezzi ed i materiali; nel mio studio 
troverete una grande varieta' di smalti, marmo, ciottoli, legno, 
mattoni...include una visita alla Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli, una gita 
al Fiume Tagliamento.

WEEK-LONG MOSAICS COURSE
Lime technique intermediate - advanced workshop
Monday 21 – Friday 25 octobre 2013 8.30-12.30 and 14.00-18.00 Sunday 
morning 27th: round up
Class size is limited to 8 people. We will use hammer and hardie.
€ 500 - includes the use of tools; smalti, marble, pebbles, wood, 
substrate, lime - gold is extra; trip to the river Tagliamento for a 
picturesque lunch break;
visit to the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli and Italian lunch like gnocchi 
di patate, spaghetti...
In this workshop we will analyse the use of color in mosaics. You will 
learn how to prepare lime mixture. The frames of my mosaics are made 
with this material. Worked in different ways you can obtain smooth, 
modulated or shaggy effects.
For the creation of your own mosaic (36 x 42 cm) you can choose between 
1. 'Tagliamento' (example 1) 2. 'Stars in the sky' (example 2)
3. if you prefer, you can bring your own design. Lime material needs to 
dry slowly. It is therefore advisable to package your mosaic on Sunday.

  CORSO MOSAICO SETTIMANALE

Corso di tecnica al calce intermedia-avanzata.
Lunedi 21 – venerdi 25 ottobre 2013 8.30-12.30 e 14.00-18.00 domenica 
mattina 27: finiture.
La classe sara' limitata a 8 persone. Useremo la martellina e tagliolo.
€ 500 include l'uso degli attrezzi ed i material, smalti, 
marmo,ciottoli, legno, supporto, calce - oro non incluso nel prezzo; 
una gita al Fiume Tagliamento per un pranzo pittoresco;
include anche una visita alla Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli ed un pranzo 
all'italiana, tipo, gnocchi, spaghetti...
Durante questo laboratorio studieremo l'uso dei colori nei mosaici. 
Imparerete come preparare la calce.  Le cornici dei miei mosaici sono 
fatte di questo materiale. Lavorato in modi diversi si puo' ottenere 
effetti lisci, modulati, o ruvidi.
Per creare il vostro mosaico (36 x 42 cm) potete scegliere tra:
1. 'Tagliamento'
2. Stelle nel cielo (scrivetemi per ricevere le foto).
3. Se preferite, potete portare il vostro disegno/progetto. La calce ha 
bisogno di una asciugatura lenta percio e' meglio impachettare la vostra 
creazione la domenica.
