"Science is driving rapid cultural change. Politics are pervasive in 
society, even colouring scientific research. And diplomacy -- between 
nations, cultures, and publics -- influences politics and decision-making.
With the world facing grave threats and great opportunities, can 
science, politics and diplomacy work together constructively?
We need a new paradigm of thought and action involving as many actors as 
possible -- global organizations and sovereign states, academies and 
universities, NGOs and others."
