Un incontro informale dei *rappresentanti di vari paesi europei* 
presenti a Trieste davanti ad una tazza di caffè, come semplici amici, 
per raccontare l'??importanza del *rituale del caffè* nelle diverse 
tradizioni, lontane o vicine che siano, accomunate sempre però dal senso 
di ospitalità  e collettività  che questo rito mantiene inalterato.

*/Representatives of different European countries/*/ meet informally in 
front of a cup of coffee. Just as in a meeting among friends, where 
everybody feels free to tell his story, this event will offer the 
occasion to know everything about *the ritual of drinking coffee* - all 
about how it takes place within different traditions and countries, both 
far from and close to us. Beyond all differences, the ritual of a ??cup 
of coffee?? continues to stand as an unchanged sign of hospitality and 
community./

*Circus Meme_Fabiola Faidiga* , 12 settembre/. September 12th/ 2010

Il progetto multimediale Circus Meme di Fabiola Faidiga, che affronta i 
temi della memoria e della storia, ma anche della natura, del circo e 
della cultura pop, parte dalla storia di *Sony*, l'elefante donato al 
*maresciallo Tito* da *Indira Ghandi* nel 1972, vissuto nello *zoo delle 
isole Brioni* (Croazia) e scomparso da pochi mesi, e ci parla della 
grande e piccola Storia del '900 fino al miraggio di una *nuova Europa*.

/The multimedia project Circus Meme by Fabiola Faidiga is dedicated to 
the themes of memory and history, but also concerns nature, circus and 
pop culture. The idea of Circus Meme comes from the story of *Sony*, the 
elephant that *Marshal Tito* received as a gift by *Indira Ghandi* in 
1972. Sony lived in the *Brioni Islands Zoo* (Croatia) until few months 
ago. Circus Meme it is a tale about the history of the twentieth century 
and the dream of a *New Europe*./

*Cucinare insieme* per ricordare l'??*elefante Sony* e parlare della 
*nuova Europa*, questo è lo scopo della *cena multietnica* realizzata 
con le associazioni e i circoli presenti sul territorio, invitando i 
vari rappresentanti delle diverse comunità  presenti a Trieste, da 
presenze storiche e radicate, fino a nuovi gruppi da poco insediati in 
città , dai rappresentanti istituzionali fino alle realtà  aggregative 
meno formali e strutturate.

/A great *cooking session* to celebrate the *elephant Sony*/ /and talk 
about the *New Europe*: this is the purpose of the *multiethnic dinner* 
promoted by associations and clubs from the area, inviting several 
representatives of different communities living in Trieste, rooted in 
its history  and new groups recently established in the city, 
institutional representatives and less formal associations./

Il gruppo di *trubaci??* sloveno Donald trumpeT, con l'organico tipico 
della  *musica balcanica*, composto esclusivamente da strumenti a fiato 
e da due sole percussioni, presenta uno spettacolo che percorre da un 
capo all'altro la *musica tradizionale* *jugoslava*, dalla *Serbia* alla 
*Bosnia* e dalla *Slovenia* fino alla *Macedonia*, con puntate nella 
musica latina, nel jazz e con arrangiamenti originali di brani pop. I 
componenti del gruppo, più volte anche al festival internazionale di 
*Guca* (Serbia), rappresentano un vero e proprio *laboratorio musicale 
interetnico*, avendo origini da tutte le *repubbliche dell'ex 
Jugoslavia* e dalla *zona di confine con l'Italia*.

Una *festa*, più che un concerto, dove anche il pubblico  coinvolto!

/The Slovenian group of *"trubaci"* Donald trumpeT, with typical *Balkan 
music*, playing  wind instruments and only two percussions, presents a 
show that runs from one end of  *traditional Yugoslave music*, from 
*Serbia* to *Bosnia* and from *Slovenia* to *Macedonia*, with stakes in 
Latin music, jazz and original arrangements of pop songs. The members of 
the group, have participated several times  at the international 
festival in* Guca* (Serbia), represent a true *inter-ethnic music 
workshop*s/

I videomaker* Den Baruca* e *Matteo Puppi* presentano il *videoracconto* 
delle quattro intense giornate di incontri, eventi e confronti che hanno 
coinvolto i giovani e i rappresentanti di molti *paesi europei*, 
riassumendo in un unico documento video i temi e i risultati di tutto il 
progetto, da gustarsi con un aperitivo.

/The video makers *Den Baruca* and *Matteo Puppi* present the 
*video-tale* of the four-days event with meetings and happenings 
involving youth and the representatives of several *European countries*. 
This unique video-document can be enjoyed with an aperitif and will 
offer a singular and extraordinary briefing about themes and the 
fulfillment of the whole project./
