CHRISTMAS BENEFIT DINNER
===========================================
The Association of Volunteers in International Service AVSI organizes
a benefit dinner
to support specific development projects in :
- Paraguay (Support a hospice for the terminally ill of the San Rafael
Foundation in Asuncion)
- India (Give children a bright future by investing in a new school
building at Pudukkottay)
- Holy Land (Support the schools of the Franciscan Custody for the
children of Jerusalem and Bethlehem)
- Uganda (Help children to study and teachers to educate at the
Permanent Educational Center in Kampala;
support the Meeting Point International caring for women and orphans
in Kampala)
- Ivory Coast (Support St. Camille Hospital caring for women and
children, in Bouake)
Thanks to the ICTP, the dinner will take place in the
Leonardo Building Cafeteria, Friday, December 12th, 8
p.m.
During the dinner, volunteers directly involved in the projects of
last years will briefly present the Association and give reportages.
We ask for a participation fee of 35 Euros and reservation within Dec.
9th.

The AVSI (http://www.avsi.org) is an international not-for-profit,
non-governmental organization, promoting cultural, social and economic
development, according to Catholic social teaching, especially among
the most disadvantaged in developing nations and countries in
transition. Every year, in the Christmas period, AVSI organizes an
awareness and fund raising campaign, which goes under the heading of
"Tende di Natale". AVSI is also promoting an important program of
distance adoptions for children and teenagers.
