CHRISTMAS BENEFIT DINNER

The Association of Volunteers in International Service AVSI organizes
                                      a benefit dinner
to support specific development projects in  Litani River region 
(Lebanon); Betlhem  (Holy Land);
Lima (Peru); Kosovo; North Uganda. Thanks to the ICTP, the dinner will 
take place in the

               Main Building Cafeteria,  Friday, December 14th,  8 p.m.

During the dinner  Dr. Alberto Reggiori,  a surgeon who spent several 
years in Uganda,
will briefly present the Association and give reportages.

We ask for a participation fee of 30 Euros and reservation within Dec. 
11th.

The  AVSI (http://www.avsi.org)  is  an international  not-for-profit,
non-governmental organization, promoting cultural, social and economic
development, according  to Catholic social  teaching, especially among
the  most  disadvantaged  in   developing  nations  and  countries  in
transition.  Every  year, in the  Christmas period, AVSI  organizes an
awareness and fund  raising campaign, which goes under  the heading of
"Tende di  Natale".  AVSI  is also promoting  an important  program of
distance  adoptions for children and teenagers.
