You are most cordially invited to the 2025 Dirac Medal and Award Ceremony that will take place in the Budinich Lecture Hall, ICTP Leonardo Building, on Wednesday 25 March, starting at 14:00 hrs CEST. The event will take place during the Spring School on Superstring Theory and Related Topics (smr 4209, 23 - 31 March 2026).
ICTP awarded its 2025 Dirac Medal to four distinguished physicists "for their landmark contributions which have significantly shaped the study of general relativity across many generations. Their work collectively has laid the conceptual and technical foundations of our understanding of gravity, at both the classical and quantum levels".
The 2025 Dirac Medallists are:
· Gary Gibbons, Cambridge University, UK
· Gary Horowitz, University of California Santa Barbara, USA
· Roy Kerr, University of Canterbury, New Zealand
· Robert Wald, University of Chicago, USA
