FameLab is back in Trieste!

FameLab is the international contest where young scientists get to sharpen their communication skills to explain a research topic in just 3 minutes!

The selection will take place on Thursday 23 April 2026, at 6 p.m. at Teatro Miela in Trieste. The event will be free and open to the public.

Participants will have to explain a scientific topic in just 3 minutes to an audience of non-experts. The only tools allowed will be their own words and communication skills. No slides, graphs, or videos. The jury will choose the presentations that best combine clarity and entertainment.

The deadline to register is 16 April 2026. Registrations must be submitted through the online form.

The first two winners of FameLab Trieste will receive a cash prize and take part in an international masterclass, scheduled to take place in Perugia during the summer, followed by the national final competition.

The winner of the national competition will receive a cash prize and get the opportunity to compete in the international competition in November, where they will compete against the winners from the other participating countries.
