You all are invited today, Thursday 21 August, from 2 to 5 pm, to visit the ICTP Scientific FabLab (at the Fermi Building, lower level) to celebrate its birthday with some drinks and cookies; during this time it will be possible to visit the lab and try some of our machines.

Our fablab was inaugurated on August 12th, 2014, in a smaller space: now it is part of the ICTP Science, Technology and Innovation Unit, it has grown in size and in quality and variety of available machines but also -most important of all- in the number of our active users: ICTP scientists, fellows, visitors, and members of the local makers’ community (thanks to a generous yearly contribution from the Comune of Trieste). With the assistance of our skilled technical staff, they all create beautiful and innovative things by mixing science, technology and ingenuity, always with the aim to make ICTP and the world a better place.

We would like to extend to all members of the ICTP community our sincere thanks for supporting us along these first 11 years of innovation and creativity,
