Hello everyone,
Exciting news to enhance networking and community engagement—please help spread the word!
As part of the SiS FVG initiative, Area Science Park is organizing the 2025 Sci-Fi Film Forum: a series of events exploring the intersection of science, science fiction, and cinema, with screenings held at Area Science Park.
Each session will pair a sci-fi movie with a scientific discussion—a conversation on research topics related to the film’s plot, whether plausible, potential, or entirely fictional.
This initiative is in collaboration with the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival. All selected films, winners of recent festival editions, will be screened in their original language (with both Italian and English subtitles) at the Padriciano Campus of Area Science Park (Conference Hall). Before each screening, a scientist will introduce one of the scientific themes explored in the film.
The events are free and open to all, but registration is required for each individual screening.
Three screenings are scheduled, all on Mondays.
Additionally, participants are invited to a small aperitif from 5:15 PM before the event.
