OWSD International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science!

Today at the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) we celebrate the incredible achievements of women scientists around the world, and their vital contributions to solving some of the most pressing challenges we face globally. We are proud to honor these women and continue supporting the advancement of women in science.

As part of the celebrations, we are thrilled to announce the Short Talks, Big Impacts OWSD Women in Science Spotlight Competition, a live event where OWSD members can present their groundbreaking research in a dynamic 3-minute format. This competition is designed to highlight the importance of research and how it contributes to local and global solutions. Participants will have the chance to present their work to a global audience, with regional sessions and a grand finale, where the audience and expert panel will choose the winners.

How to Participate:

We invite all OWSD members to register and share their research in this exciting format. Even early-career scientists are encouraged to participate! If you are not an OWSD member yet, you can attend as voting audience. The links to participate as voting audience to each sessions will be shared soon.
