On the occasion of the United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science, ICTP scientists Erika Coppola and Agnese Bissi produced video messages that are featured on the website of the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in Brussels. Erika Coppola is a research scientist in ICTP's Earth System Physics section. Her current research activity focusses on the climate change impact on hazards at the regional scale by means of regional climate models and hydroclimate models.

Agnese Bissi is a theoretical physicist in ICTP's High Energy, Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics section. Her research interests are in string theory and conformal theories.
