Dear all,

European Researchers' Night - SHARPER - is back in Trieste, tomorrow Friday 30 September!

ICTP will participate with two great events:

Friday 30 September, h18:00

Venue: Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico, Magazzino 26, Porto Vecchio, Trieste

What is the impact of oceans on global climate and climate change? How does the climate crisis affect ocean circulation? ICTP climate scientist Riccardo Farneti will answer these and many other questions in a dialogue with students from the Italian Association of Physics Students of Trieste, to discover more about the close relationship and mutual influence that connect oceans and climate.

Friday 30 September, h11:30

Venue: Sala Luttazzi, Magazzino 26, Porto Vecchio, Trieste

Before Paolo Budinich, in Trieste there were no ICTP, SISSA, Immaginario Scientifico and a whole constellation of institutes that today make the city a scientific centre at international level.
A reading with original live music that will span the extraordinary moments of its creation and the ideals that supported them, trying to describe the complex figure of Paolo Budinich: a creator, a businessman, a mystic, an optimist, a visionary ... a "an operator of
creation".

The event is sponsored by Fondazione Benefica Kathleen Foreman Casali, with opening remarks by ICTP's Sandro Scandolo.
