Gender equality in the European Union: major issues and
criticalities
A talk by

17 October, 3 pm
"P. Budinich" Main Lecture Hall, SISSA, Via
Bonomea 265
Improving gender equality has many positive impacts
on individuals and also on the society at large. It would have
strong, positive GDP impacts growing over time, higher level of
employment and productivity and could respond to challenges
related to the ageing population in the EU. But where do we stand
now in the path to establishing a more gender equal EU? Is the
“quiet revolution” related to the activation of women in the
labour market over? What criticalities, at national and overall
level, are still on?
