We
would like to inform you that
in Italy on 8th
March a
general strike is called valid for all categories
transports
included.
On
8th March, the Italian unions have called a
nationwide general strike in Italy that covers all
business categories, public and private. In particular:
-
for rail transport, 21 hours, from 24 of 7/03 to 9 pm of
8/03:
Trenitalia (the Frecce HS trains should
circulate regularly, more information on the website),
Trenord (the guaranteed time slots from 6:00 am to
9:00 am / from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm will be respected) and
Italo (here a list of guaranteed trains).

for air transports, 24 hours;
-
for local public transports, different local
executions.
Atac in Rome indicates that the service will be
regular during the two guaranteed time slots (until 8:30 am
and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm);
ATM staff in Milan will strike from 8:45 am to 3:00
pm and from 6 pm at the end of the service.
On
8th March
a women strike was called at the international level:
transport groups announced to join the action in several
European countries and in North America.
The
travellers are encouraged to:
Check the status of their flight
before departure (on
airlines or airports websites) or the status of
their train.
Revise their itinerary or postpone the
trip.
