Update – Alitalia cancels flights from 22nd
to
24th
We
would like to inform you that
Alitalia announced the cancellation of numerous flights on
22nd, 23rd and 24th
February.
Impact
and info
We
would like to remind you that the strike has been called for
the all day for the entire air transport sector and in
particular by:
-
Alitalia, Meridiana, Meridiana Fly and Air Italy
pilots for 24 hours;
-
Ryanair and Volotea
personnel from 1 pm to 5 pm;
-
Easyjet pilots and flight attendants from 2 pm to 6
pm;
-
Milan Linate and Malpensa
airports personnel 24 hours;
-
Naples Capodichino
airport workers from 11 am to 3 pm;
-
Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, Venice Tessera, Pisa and
Florence
airports workers from 14 to 18.
Delays
and cancellations
are
therefore possible for the whole day in most airports.
ENAC
(National
Agency for Civil Aviation) published a
list of guaranteed flights, in addition to those
already in the protected time slot, i.e. from 7 am
to 10 am and from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The
travellers are encouraged to:
Check the status of their flight
before departure on
airlines or airports websites.
Revise their itinerary or postpone the
trip (Alitalia will
provide free cancellations, at certain conditions).
