You are all most cordially invited to the Opening Ceremony of the Latin American Film Festival which will be held at the ICTP on Saturday 22 October, in Budinich Lecture Hall, starting at 19:30.

Programme:

19:30 Presentation of this year's festival and opening remarks

20:00 Salvador Allende Award ceremony. This year's prize is awarded to Roberto Savio by the Ambassador of Chile, H.E Fernando Ayala.

20:30 Film projection: "Birrilata, una vuelta en tren", by Lorena Yenni,(2015, Argentina 64mm) a tribute to Fernando Birri, founder of the New Argentinian Cinema, president of the Festival since 1995 and film director. Fernando Birri is Argentinian but originally Italian from the Friuli Region close to Trieste. He now lives in Rome.

For security reasons, ICTP visitors, scientists and staff who wish to attend should kindly show their ICTP badge at the entrance of the Leonardo Building.
