Terra Nova, pilot, created
by Kelly Marcel and Craig Silverstein, USA, 2011, 86 min.
Special guest speakers: Vanni
Lughi, Alessandro Massi Pavan (School on Energy Giacomo Ciamician, University of
Trieste)
The series is initially set in
A.D. 2149, when overpopulation and declining air quality
threatens all life on Earth. When scientists discover a
temporal rift permitting human transmission,
they initiate a series of "pilgrimages" to a parallel time

of the United States... Catastrophic climatic
effects result in a series of extreme weather events that
usher in global cooling and leads to a new ice age. The film
depicts events predicted by scientists, but happening much

plausible.
