French
Air Traffic Controllers strike - UPDATE
2nd
– 3rd July
We
would like to inform you that the
French air traffic controller strike has been cancelled for
the 30th June and 1st
July.
It
is confirmed for the 2nd
and 3rd
July
(from 6:00 am of 2nd
July
to 6:00 am of 4th July).
Affected
dates, times and routes
This
industrial action has the potential to
severely disrupt air travel throughout French airspace;
flight delays and cancellations -
particularly affecting domestic and short-haul flights -
are to be anticipated.
As
was the case during previous ATC strikes, the French civil
aviation authorities (DGAC) may ask airlines to
reduce their flight schedules by up to 50% at various
airports in the country, including in
Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse. Residual
disruptions are also possible throughout the day of 4th
July as
airlines clear flight backlogs.
Additionally,
the concerned unions have threatened to hold additional
actions during the month of July if their demands are not
addressed.
The
travellers are encouraged to:
Check your travel itinerary and the
status of your flight.
Keep up to date by the news on the media for updated
information in the next days.
CWT
offices are available for further needs.
