Rome Fiumicino Airport
closed following fire
We would inform you that Rome
Fiumicino Airport is temporarily closed following fire in
Terminal 3.
Affected dates, times
and routes
The flights from and to
the airport have been all suspended.
As communicated by ENAC,
airport operations should gradually resume starting from
2pm today, but heavy disruption in air traffic could
continue today and even in the next days.
We also report that the road
traffic to the airport is blocked
(A91 road Rome-Fiumicino is closed from kilometre 7 to the
airport, and the ramps of Gran Raccordo Anulare are closed
towards A91 Fiumicino) and the
Leonardo Express train only works towards Rome and not
in the direction of the airport.
The travelers are
encouraged to:
Avoid going to the
airport until the reopening
of roads and the airport operations.
Contact the airlines to rebook
or cancel affected connections.
