Tribute to Paolo Budinich

A year after the death of Professor Paolo Budinich (28 August 1916-14 November 2013), the Immaginario Scientifico Science Centre in Grignano will have a special opening on Sunday November 16th. Free access for all day and a special workshop for families at 11:30 am

The special day is to remember and pay tribute to Paolo Budinich (whom both SISSA and ICTP have recently named after their Main Lecture Hall), as a founding father, among many other institutions, also of the Science Centre of Trieste. Sunday, November 16th, the Immaginario Scientifico Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico in Trieste, which will in fact open to the public free of charge from 10.00h to 20.00h. In addition, at 11.30h families with children over 10 can participate in the free workshop "Among the wonders of Physics”. The activity will be held in Italian.

Throughout the day, children and adults will enjoy discovering the laws of Physics, experiencing them first hand in an informal and playful way through the interactive stations of the section Fenomena. Do not miss the spectacular images of Kaleido the multimedia section of the museum, where photos and videos flow on maxi screens at the pace of original sound tracks in an exciting walk through of the 13 major theories, ideas or scientific discoberies that have changed our way to look at the world. Every hour you will also take a guided tour of the planetarium Cosmos, to see stars, planets, sunrises and sunsets just like they are in the sky in this season of year.
