Security
measures on flights
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
announced plans to step up security checks on
airports with direct flights to the US from
Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Also in England and Philippines airports have
been applied the rules requested by the US Department of
Security on all flights direct to USA, coming from Europe,
Middle East and Africa.
Airlines and airport
operators have been told to strengthen screening of
clothing, shoes and mobile phones, including smartphones.
Passengers may be asked to turn on devices, including mobile
phones. Powerless devices may not be permitted onboard the
aircraft.
Ensure your mobile
devices have sufficient charge to go through screening.
It is advisable to consider longer waiting
times and to go to the airport more in advance.
CWT will continue to monitor the situation
and, if appropriate, will provide important updates.
