We would like to inform you that the airport of Catania has been closed due to the intense volcanic activity of Etna, resulting in the cancellation of all departing and arriving flights. The Crisis Unit has planned the closing until 12 a.m. today, when the decision will be updated; even if the airport reopened, delays and cancellations would be expected all day long.
