the local STU Section, through the Federation of Staff Unions
FICSA, has been informed that
"A Memorial Service to honour UN personnel who have lost
their lives in serving the Organization between 1November 2011 and 31 August 2012
will be held at UN Headquarters on Wednesday, 14 November 2012. The
ceremony will be accessible via webcast at http://www.un.org/webcast from 16:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs
(Geneva/CET time). The Secretary-General hopes that this Memorial
Service will be an occasion for the entire United Nations family to
honour the memory of our fallen colleagues". At
ICTP, the event will be broadcasted live at the Leonardo Building Main
Lecture Hall at 16:00.
You
are all invited to participate either by gathering in the Main Lecture
Hall or through your own PCs.
