“IL MITO DELLA PARENZANA" (THE MYTH OF PARENZANA) at the Civic Hall of Art "Giuseppe Negrisin: at Muggia (Piazza Marconi 1): exhibition by Giulio Ruzzier on the 110 year old historical railway that connected Trieste to Parenzo. Hi-tech Creative Photography Exhibition by Roberto Bubnich at the Antico Caffe' San Marco (Via Battisti, 18) ongoing until 17/11. This historical cafe' was founded in 1914 and used to be one of the main venues of the "intelligentsia" of the city, like Italo Svevo, Umberto Saba, James Joyce. 

 

THEATRE

"Le avventure di Gianburrasca" ("The Adventures of Gian Gale") at the Rossetti Theatre (Viale XX Settembre 45) on 07/11 & 08/11 at 21.00; on 9/11 and 10/11, at 17.00, on 11/11 at 11.00.  Under the direction of Luciano Pasini, the shows tells the story of an unruly child and his tireless imagination through the fresh and inductive interpretation of the boys. It is a mixture of prose and music, movement and with original music by renowned composer Nino Rota. Tickets from Euro 12.00. Nine great films at the Ariston Cinema (Viale Romolo Gessi 14 - Buses 8, 9 & 15) for members of the British Film Club, Trieste. MISCELLANEOUS

Extraordinary event on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 18.00 at the Natural History Museum of  Trieste, in via dei Tominz 4 within the cycle "Science tales: meet the heroes of research and innovation", there will be a public conference held by EDWARD MAYER, one of the most important world experts in conservation of swallows and swifts.

 

Ongoing until 11/11 the Eleventh Edition of "Sapori del carso - Okusi Krasa" (Karst flavors), with the partecipation of a large number of restaurants, bakeries and food stores offering local gourmet specialties and typical Karst products. The theme of this year is "Backyards poultry" (hen, ducks, turkeys, etc.). Bakeries prepare traditional breads and pastries.
