Special
guided tour by coach to
AQUILEIA
and
GRADO
SUNDAY 3 JULY 2011
AQUILEIA is one
of the most interesting sites in the Region, an ancient
marshland settlement, with a 700-year Roman period dating back to 181
B.C.
There are old Roman mosaics in the basilica and old Roman ruins spread
out in a
lovely landscape.
The next stop will
be in GRADO, a
small town built on a lagoon with many historical connections
with Venice and Aquileia. Once you get there,
you may
choose to follow the guide and visit some monuments or walk around by
yourself
and do some shopping or go to the beach (remember to take a bathing
costume
and a towel).
For all purposes, please take a bottle of water for the trip and a cap
as it could get quite hot
during the summer period.
MEETING POINT at 13:45 with our English-speaking guide, Ms Lodi, in
