Special guided tour by coach to

PIRAN AND KOPER IN SLOVENIA

MUGGIA, Italy, close to Trieste

The tour will start with the visit of Piran (Pirano in Italian) on the Adriatic coast.  Both Piran and Koper, as well as most of the coastal towns in Slovenia and Croatia had historic and cultural ties with ancient Rome, the Republic of Venice, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italy. Piran is the birthplace of Italian composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini. You will visit the Venetian style town and then proceed to Koper (Capodistria in Italian), the largest commercial port in Slovenia and visit its historic city centre with the 15th century Praetorian Palace and the Loggia in Venetian Gothic style. On the way back you will stop in Muggia, Italy, another lovely Venetian town with its fishing village close to Trieste, with its picturesque historical centre and visit the 13th century Dome located in the beautiful Marconi Square
.
