As you may already know, the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) is also promoting various fellowship programmes for PhD, Postdoctoral and Advanced Research. These schemes represent a great opportunity for scientists and researchers who may be interested in enhancing their scientific knowledge. Thus, we are writing to you to request whether you could possibly assist us in disseminating information about these grants to a wider audience. The fellowships are overseen jointly by TWAS and various host institutes in countries in the South, including Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Pakistan and they allow scientists from developing countries to study or do research in other developing countries and then to return home to continue their careers. The fellowships are offered to scientists from developing countries and are tenable at centres of excellence in various countries in the South, including Brazil, China, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan and Thailand. Eligible fields include: agricultural and biological sciences, medical and health sciences, chemistry, engineering, astronomy, space and earth sciences, mathematics and physics.
