A SPECIAL OPERA MUSIC EVENING: DINNER & SHOW

Tomorrow, Thursday 10 September at the Leonardo Building

 

A menu dedicated to the regional cuisine of famous Italian composers

at the Cafeteria of the Leonardo building from 7 - 8:30 pm

  followed by

 

An exclusive OPERA MUSIC CONCERT at 9 pm in the Main Lecture Hall

 

On Thursday, 10 September join us for a typical Italian Regional dinner inspired by the origins of the famous composers Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. Verdi (1813-1901) was born in Roncole, Emilia-Romagna and was a notorious gourmet.  Giacomo Puccini (1858-1924) came from Lucca, Tuscany.

Dinner will be served at the cafeteria from 7 - 8:30 pm.

 

The Opera Concert will start at 9 pm in the Main Lecture hall and go on until around 10 pm.

 The special menus -   fish or meat - can be paid with half a meal voucher. For those who do not have meal vouchers, the cost is 6,50 euro/person. 

 

Puccini's Menu (fish selection):

Florence Black Risotto

Sea Bass with citrus fruits and fennel

Spinach Pie with pine-seeds and marjoram

 

Verdi's Menu (meat and vegetarian selection):

Baked Ferrarese Lasagne

Romagna style Pork

Parmigiana style Aubergines  (vegetarian alternative)

Piacenza style Potato Pie

 

Dessert at the Grill Corner:

Tiramisu of the Opera (with whisky cream) euro 2,50 each.

Other items like drinks, salads, etc.,  will be charged as usual.
