Photography exhibition at the United World College of the Adriatic in Duino, inauguration of “25 years of photography” by the students of the UWC on Thurs 11 Sept at 21:00. Through14 October

Photography exhibition “The Magic of Mount Athos, 1928 – 1930”, by the famous Swiss photographer Boissonnas (who won a gold medal on the occasion of the Universal Exhibtion of Paris in 1900 for his photographs of the “Mont Blanc”). At the Sala del Giubileo di Riva Tre Novembre nr.9, near Piazza Unità. Visiting times 17:00 – 19:00 every day, closed on Sundays, through 11 October.

Art Exhibition: a vernissage today, Thurs 11 Sept at 18:30, “Colori d’Autunno”, (autumn colours), 46 local artists presenting their works at the Associazione Culturale Artesette” in Via Rossetti nr 7/1.

MUSIC AND CONCERTS – FREE

Thurs 11 Sept at 21:00: “Jazz al Museo”, (Jazz at the Museum) at the Revoltella Museum in via Diaz, on the occasion of the contemporary art exhibition “1953, L’Italia era già qui, Pittura d’Arte Contemporanea a Trieste” (through 30 October).  Music of 1940s and 50s from classic jazz to New Orleans jazz. Seats for the concert are limited and on a first come first serve basis, please be there at 20:30.

Sat 13 Sept: “Gypsy Quartet Remake”
live concert in Piazza Marconi at 20:30, “jazz manouche”, a fusion of traditional gypsy music and American jazz. Bus 20.

CONCERTI NEL CASTELLO (Miramare)

Friday 12 September: Violin and piano concert with Federico Bresciani and Jacopo Salvatori. Music by Brahms and Prokoviev. 

SYMPHONY CONCERT AT THE VERDI THEATRE

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new season of the Verdi Theatre:

Guided Tour by foot of Trieste’s historical monuments (in Italian and English) at 10:30 and at 16:00 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays only at 10:30.
