ART EXHIBITIONS

“Colores de Colombia” an art exhibition of the Colombian artist Orlando Zuniga Taborda in via Lazaretto Vecchio 19 from 4 to 26 July.

“Maria Callas, 30 anni dopo” (30 years later) at Civico Museo teatrale “Carlo Schmidl”, Palazzo Gopcevich in Via Rossini 4. From 4 July to 7 September, a retrospective of Callas’s life with a photography exhibition and many collateral events, films and music. Free entrance and opening times everyday from 9:00 – 19:00. TOURS

Guided Tour by foot of Trieste’s historical monuments (in Italian and English), starting at 10:30 and 16:00 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays only at 10:30. Carsiana Botanical Gardens in Sgonico 55, guided tour on Sunday 13 July at 16:00 and 17:00. More than 600 species of plants. You can also book a guided tour in English, German and Slovene by calling 040.229573. Ticket Eur 3,00 (for a group of 7 reduced Eur 2,00). Take buses 42, 44 from Piazza Oberdan, change in Prosecco and take bus 46 to Sgonico.
