Dear colleagues,

Physics Without Frontiers (PWF) would like to invite you to the upcoming 
online information session and kindly ask you to share it with 
interested colleagues and students. This session is especially relevant 
for bachelor's and master's students considering graduate studies, but 
all are welcome.

*ICTP PWF Professional Development Series: Navigating Master's and PhD 
Applications in Physics and Related Fields*

Organized in collaboration with the ICTP Global Science Portal, this 
session is designed to help students better understand the graduate 
application process and strengthen their applications for Master's and 
PhD programmes in physics and related fields.

The session will feature speakers with complementary perspectives:

  * *Marco Esposito*– Coordinator of the ICTP/University of Trieste
    Master's Programme in Medical Physics and research scientist at ICTP
  * *Estelle Inack*– Former ICTP Diploma student and SISSA graduate, now
    a researcher at Perimeter Institute, yiyaniQ, and University of Waterloo
  * *Joe Niemela*– Scientist emeritus at ICTP with extensive experience
    serving on academic selection committees

Topics will include:

  * how selection committees evaluate applications,
  * common mistakes applicants make,
  * preparing academic CVs and statements of purpose,
  * approaching potential supervisors,
  * and experiences applying from the Global South.

The session will conclude with an open Q&A with participants.
