When: *Saturday 28 March 2026, from 15:00 to 18:30*

The event will be in English and Italian, OPEN to everyone (also from 
outside ICTP) and totally FREE (please send us an email to reserve a 
seat for the talk and the workshop: scifablab at ictp.it

*Programme:*

*15:00 – 16:00 Open Day (in Italian & English):* a guided visit of the 
fablab, with demo of lasercutter and 3D printers, question and answers 
on fablabs and digital fabrication (registration not needed, for all ages)

*16:00 – 16:45  TALK (ONLY IN ITALIAN, but the text of the slides is 
English, duration: 45 minutes):* “Arduino per tutti” an introduction to 
the Arduino platform and its alternatives, with presentation of new and 
old boards, examples of projects using Arduino boards, Arduino IDE and 
programming options (by Marco Baruzzo, ICTP SciFabLab).

*17:00 – 18:30 WORKSHOP (in Italian & English, 90 minutes): a Practical 
Introduction to Arduino for absolute beginners,* hands-on exercises with 
Arduino boards, sensors and LEDs (by Gaya Fior, ICTP SciFablab). You are 
invited to come with your laptop, all other parts (boards, electronic 
components, etc.) will be provided by us.
