PWF and ICTP Global Science Portal present the next session in the ICTP
PWF Professional Development Series:
“Amplifying the Impact of Your Projects”
an online panel discussion designed to help project organisers improve the
impact of their projects using outreach, public and policy engagement,
mentoring and networking.

The session will bring together speakers with complementary perspectives:

Dr Kudakwashe Jakata, Senior Support Scientist, Diamond Light Source, UK.
Lead initiatives for PWF Zimbabwe.
Ms. Magdeline Mohlao Lerato Seabi, Nelson Mandela University. Lead
initiatives for PWF South Africa.
Dr Suyog Shrestha, Assistant Professor at Washington College, USA. Lead
initiatives for PWF Nepal.
Dr Reina Camacho Toro, Researcher, French National Center for Scientific
Research (CNRS). Lead initiatives for PWF Latin America.
Dr Alvaro Veliz Osorio, Riverlane, Cambridge, UK. Lead initiatives for PWF
Guatemala.
Session moderator Kate Shaw, co-coordinator of Physics Without Frontiers,
will guide the discussion and facilitate the Q&A.

Join us for an engaging online panel discussion hosted by Physics Without
Frontiers (PWF), exploring how scientists can amplify their impact beyond
research. Moderated by Kate Shaw, the session will bring together
experienced members of the PWF network to share insights and practical
experiences in outreach, public and policy engagement, mentoring, and
professional networking. The panel will examine and discuss how these
activities can strengthen scientific communities, broaden access to
physics, and create lasting impact locally and globally. Whether you are
early in your career or an established researcher, this event offers
valuable perspectives on building meaningful connections and extending the

The session will conclude with an open discussion and Q&A with participants.
