Call for Proposals: Hands-on Scientific Activities for General Public

Are you passionate about making science fun, tangible, and inspiring? 
Have you always had an idea for a cool science activity, game, or demo, 
but never had the chance to build it?


It’s time to turn your science outreach idea into reality!

We are seeking creative, hands-on scientific activities designed to 
engage children, teens and the general public. These activities can 
include games, demonstrations, installations, experiments, or small 
machines that help explain scientific concepts in an experiential and 
accessible way.

  * Activities that are interactive, educational and engaging
  * Experiences that build clear connections to scientific principles
  * Ideas that are scalable and suitable for public events, science
    fairs, or school visits

*Development Support:*


The projects will be developed in collaboration with Carlo Fonda and the 
ICTP SciFabLab – a makerspace fully equipped with tools such as 3D 
printers, laser cutters, and more.

Participants who are interested can get involved in the prototyping 
phase, working with cutting-edge tools and receiving support from 
experienced makers.

*How to Apply?*


Please submit a brief proposal including:

  * Title of the activity
  * Target audience (age group)
  * Short description (max. 500 words)
  * Scientific concept(s) involved
  * Materials or tools needed (if known)
  * Any sketches or reference images
