Last Call to MAKER FAIRE TRIESTE 2025 (10 & 11 May 2025)

Dear ICTP community, visitors, scientists and administrative staff!

We would like to send a “last call" to all staff, researchers, students, 
fellows and friends of ICTP: you are invited to play an active role and 
become part of this year's Maker Faire Trieste!

This 12th edition of our “Celebration of the ingenuity” is co-organised 
by the ICTP and the Comune di Trieste, with the financial contribution 
of Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, and will be held on _Saturday 10 (from 
2pm to 8 pm) and Sunday 11 May (from 10am to 6pm) in Piazza dell’Unità 
d’Italia downtown Trieste_. There will be also a special_pre-event, on 
Friday 9 May_ at 10:30am at the Teatro Miela, with a programme aimed to 
high-school students (but open to everyone) that includes a 
scientific/musical show by G.Greison and a conference by G.Mussardo 
(both in Italian, in collaboration with SISSA). You are welcome to 
participate on Friday too!

As usual, the whole MFTS event will be family-friendly, free and open to 
everyone, and we really hope you’ll decide to join it!
Since we are less than 10 days from the event, it is maybe too late to 
organise scientific exhibits and activities (but_we can still accomodate 
a few reasonable proposals if you contact us immediately_), but you can 
still personally contribute in other ways:
- help us by joining our team of volunteers, we always need more hands, 
feet and heads to run such a rich and fulfilling event (a minimum 
knowledge of Italian is needed, you can join here:

- visit the event, and help spreading the word about Maker Faire Trieste 
and Science Picnic!
