TOMORROW: International Day of Medical Physics

To promote understanding of the valuable contributions made by medical 
physicists to enhance patient care, the International Organization for 
Medical Physics (IOMP) established the annual International Day of 
Medical Physics (IDMP) on November 7.

This date holds historical significance in the field of medical physics, 
as it marks the birth of Marie Sklodowska-Curie in 1867. She is renowned 
for her groundbreaking work in radioactivity.

In 2023, we commemorate the 11th IDMP on November 7 at ICTP, with the 
theme for IDMP 2023 being 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants.' with 
the MMP Alumni Association (MMPAA), the Trieste University, Medical 
Physics Section and the Master in Medical Physics - Ghana University
