OWSD, the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World

*New short films featuring women scientists from around the world*

*Thursday 10 November, 16:00 – 18:00 (/aperitivo /to follow)*

The event will take place at *Hotel Savoia Excelsior Palace in Trieste,* 
Riva del Mandracchio 4.

During the event, a series of short films produced by OWSD with women 
scientists from developing countries will be screened, and a panel on 
science, women and storytelling will be held.

The event is organized in the framework of the OWSD Visions project, 
which aims to empower women scientists from developing countries and 
local filmmakers to produce and show audio-visual science stories. For

The event will be organized in the Italian language, and the films will 
be screened in English with English subtitles. The event is public and 
open to scientific and civil society organizations, Universities, 
businesses, and members of the public based in the city of Trieste and 
the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
