Dear colleagues,
World Quantum Day <https://worldquantumday.org/> will be observed around
the world for the first time this year on 14 April, as a way to bring
everything "/quantum/" closer to the public and celebrate this
fascinating field of study. ICTP will also take part in the celebrations
with a *"Quantum Games" event, on Thursday 14 April*, from 12:30pm to
2pm, in the Leonardo Building bar. Table games and online games (bring
your laptop), such as "Laser chess", "Dead Cat", and "Hello Quantum",
will be available for the ICTP community and for everybody who is
interested in experimenting and having fun with the fascinating and
sometimes bizarre properties of quantum science!

The rich programme of initiatives for the *"Italian Quantum Weeks @
Trieste"* <https://www.quantumweeks.it/trieste/> continues! The
initiative is organised by scientists and communicators of the so-called
"Trieste science system" to take part in the quantum celebrations
leading to the first international celebrations of the *World Quantum
Day* <https://worldquantumday.org/> on April 14. Activities for this
week include:
- 12 April, 7pm: a public talk titled *"Computer e società
quantistiche"* ("Quantum computers and societies") will be held in
Trieste's Bar Libreria Knulp, involving ICTP scientists Alejandro
Rodriguez, Marcello Dalmonte, and Antonello Scardicchio. (In Italian)
- 14 April, 6pm: a public talk titled *"Materia quantistica del futuro"*
("Quantum matter of the future") will be held in Trieste's Caffé San
Marco, involving ICTP scientists Nicola Seriani and Rosario Fazio. (In
Italian)
