NOTICE TO ALL SCIENTISTS AND STAFF

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
brought to our attention two new important points, concerning the
movement of travelers in the present difficult situation, which may be
useful to know:

1 airport transits are allowed for those who have a real and recognized
necessity to travel. It is therefore possible to land either in
Fiumicino airport, or other Italian airports if they are operational,
and wait for a connection flight. Transiting passengers however cannot
leave the airport.

2 foreign nationals who need to leave Italy are allowed to travel, and
transit on the Italian territory, but always under necessity and urgency
conditions.

The above described new information, and others related to the matter,
are available in detail in the following FAQ in English:

Starting from the same link one can find downloadable self certification
forms, which are recommended to hold when traveling.
