REMINDER: ICTP CLOSURE DURING FORTHCOMING FESTIVITIES

NOTICE TO ALL SCIENTISTS AND STAFF

Please note that, on the occasion of the forthcoming festivities, ICTP 
will be closed from Saturday, 21^st December 2019 to Monday 6^th January 
2020 inclusive.

ICTP staff will not be on duty during this period.

In order to facilitate the closure of the buildings, all scientists and 
staff are kindly requested to leave the premises not later than 5pm on 
Friday 20^th December 2019, and make sure that all electrical equipments 
in their offices are switched off.

BUILDINGS

All buildings (LB-EFB-GGH-AGH-Mlab-ex-SISSA 2nd floor) will be closed 
from evening of Friday 20^th December 2019.

_Heating will be switched off in the closed buildings._

ACCESS CONTROL

The ICTP access badges will be de-activated.

Those who _exceptionally_ need to access the buildings during the 
closure should make a written request directly to access at ictp.it 
<mailto:access at ictp.it>cc secur_mb at ictp.it <mailto:secure_mb at ictp.it>, 
_by Thursday 19^th December_.

Please note that the Leonardo building is strictly closed off from 1^st 
to 6^th January 2020.

CAFETERIAS AND BARS

AGH and GGH will be closed from Saturday, 21^st December 2019 until 
Monday, 6^th January 2020 inclusive.

The LIBRARY will close at 5pm on Friday, 20^th December 2019 and will 
reopen on Tuesday, 7^th January 2020.

The ICTP postal services will not be available for the entire period.

The national Post Offices will be open according to their usual timetable.

Incoming mail will not be accepted by the Mail Office nor by the 
Security from 21^st December until 6^th January.

Electricity cuts for maintenance is foreseen on 21^st December for LB 
and EFB (from 7.30am to 1.30pm).

During this day the IT services will be affected.

The Security Service will be normally on duty.
