Tonight at 19:30 at the Cafe Rossetti, a series of evenings dedicated to
quantum physics games will be launched.
The series will feature games from around the world for any taste:
digital, card, board games, and games for single and multiple players.
Some make you feel like you are in a physics laboratory and with others,
you might not even realize that there is some quantum physics hidden in
the game mechanics.
From 16-19 April every evening from 19:30-22.30 you are welcome to
play, chill out and, if you like, chat with special guests - quantum
scientists!
The games are not only fun to play, but also designed to help you learn
about quantum physics. For example, Hello Quantum is a puzzle game
designed at IBM Research to teach introductory principles of quantum
computing. All the games aim to introduce the fundamental concepts of
quantum physics.
The event is inspired by the idea from @ScienceAtHome (Aarhus
University, Denmark) and is organized by Oxana Mishina, quantum
physicist and educator at TU Braunschweig (Germany) and UniTS (Italia),
with the patronage of proESOF2020 and support of Trieste University,
ICTP's SciFabLab, Trieste Città della Conoscenza, and Giovanni Loser, an
entrepreneur passionate in quantum physics.
