Friday Events for International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Dear Colleagues,

Please be informed that tomorrow, Friday 9 February, ICTP will celebrate
the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Events will include:

--10:00 to 11:00, Luigi Stasi Seminar Room, Leonardo Building:
Secondary-school students will meet with ICTP and SISSA post-docs, who
will describe why they are scientists and what they do day to day, in
addition to answering students’ questions about challenges and
opportunities in science careers. About 50 people (students and
teachers) have agreed to participate to the event.

—-10:00 to 14:00, ICTP Reading Room (next to bar), Leonardo Building:
Visit an exhibit of statistics, success stories, and strategies
regarding women in science. Cookies, stickers, and a mad
scientist-themed carnevale photo booth also await! The exhibit is open
to all.
