Science Outreach Event Tonight

Today at 17:30 at the Trieste City of Knowledge space in the Trieste
Central Train Station, Palestinian and Moroccan students who run science
outreach programmes in their home countries will make a public
presentation about their work.

The students have been guests of ICTP for the past two weeks, learning
about 3D printing and other “maker” activities in the centre’s
SciFabLab. The idea is that the students will bring their knowledge back
to their home institutes and establish fablabs there. At today’s event,
the students will illustrate physics through simple experiments that can
be done with easily findable materials, the same presentation that they
have done for hundreds of students of all ages in their home countries.
